Today I watched both Lars and the Real Girl, which I hadn't seen, and The Curious case of Benjamin Button, which I had. Reviews or at least reactions to each pending...
The title of this blog comes from something my high school freshman soccer coach used to yell at me. Apparently, whenever I didn't know what to do, I would stop moving and just stand there, thus "Woldum, this is not a freakin' movie!" (i.e, stop watching everyone).
Though the soccer field may not be the appropriate place, I have loved watching movies for as long as I can remember. The original Star Wars trilogy, Disney's Peter Pan and Robin Hood, andthe PBS Anne of Green Gables and Chronicles of Narnia were among my early favorites.I also remember almost daily viewings of Cecil B. DeMille's The Ten Commandments at the delicate age of four.
While my tastes may have changed, my love for movies has not. I still love a good story, and I still get chills of excitement every time the lights go down in a theater. I treat real life like it's a movie and movies like they're real life. This blog represents my thoughts on the films I watch, both old and recent.
can't wait for these reviews...I've seen both!
